WP 3: Creating new career prospects for young researchers
WPM: Ts. Radeva
Objectives:
- to attract talented young specialists and to offer suitable background for their career perspectives at IPC-BAS
- to improve the experimental skills of young researchers by practical training on unique and original scientific setups
- to elaborate coherent program for training of young researchers and engineers in the scope of the thematic priority
- to ensure possibilities for attending training courses and schools organized in Member States
- to provide opportunities for additional training in MS laboratories and co-tuition of IPC-BAS PhD students by renowned foreign scientists
Task 1: |
Creating new job opportunities and better working conditions (TMs: E. Mileva, V. Tsakova) |
Task 2: |
Probing a pilot program for coupled multidisciplinary training and fundamental knowledge on nanoscale phenomena (TMs: Al. Milchev, An. Milchev, E. Mileva)
The following laboratories are engaged in the pilot program:
- Electrochemical formation of metal and alloy crystals at solid surfaces (Al. Milchev)
- Protein crystallization (Ch. Nanev)
- Formation and metal modification of conducting polymer layers (V. Tsakova)
- Complex fluids (E. Mileva)
- Microinterferometric thin liquid film techniques (D. Exerowa)
- Non-standard electrooptic apparatus for characterization of nanostructures (S. Stoylov)
- Temperature modulated thermal analysis (I. Avramov)
- Laboratory for computerization of research and computer modeling of nanostructures (An. Milchev)
