BELCHEM 2024: Electrochemistry for environmental protection,
life quality improvement and sustainable energy

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the national conference with international participation BELCHEM 2024, which will be held from 25 to 28 September, 2024 in Park Hotel Europe, Haskovo, Bulgaria.
The conference aims to cover the full spectrum of state-of-the-art electrochemical research conducted by Bulgarian scientists from across the country, engaging participants from academia, industry and research institutions. Along with Bulgarian researchers, the forum will be attended by foreign scientists representing the Bulgarian electrochemical diaspora. The planned plenary, keynote and invited papers will showcase the current status and current trends in electrochemical research and will provide a comprehensive insight into the diversity of scientific problems being developed by the Bulgarian scientific community. The conference aims to create conditions for intense contacts and scientific exchange between scientists from different institutions in the country and abroad, for the emergence of new collaborations and the preparation of future joint projects.
A key priority of BELCHEM 2024 is to showcase the work of young scientists, PhD students and postdocs. In this context, the conference programme includes oral presentations for young scientists as well as poster sessions with ample opportunities to discuss scientific results.
The thematic areas of the conference include:
- Electrochemical materials science: metal, alloy and composite coatings, catalysts, material degradation, corrosion protection
- Analytical electrochemistry: electrochemical and bioelectrochemical sensors for the detection of contaminants, pharmaceuticals and compounds involved in human metabolism;
- Electrochemical energy conversion and storage: fuel cells, hydrogen energy, batteries
- Non-electrochemical methods: modelling of electrochemical systems, new methods of analysis.

There is one fee for participation in the conference and accommodation that depends on the type of accommodation:
